A.
(For Peter)
It's been a bit since Spiderman had been staying with her and Oliver. Since his arrival, he hadn't ever taken off the mask. At least, not in front of them. So he'd been wandering around in his mask and whatever he was normally wearing. It was actually kind of cute, in a nieve yet determined sort of way. It's not like she doesn't get it, but she also knows it's silly. He can't keep this up. Still, she can't help but tease him about it.
"Are you going to wear that forever here?"
B.
(Open)
She was still working on some of the finishing touches in the technology temple. It really amazed her how things changed as different people took over. When the last person was here it had been a mechanic's shop, but now that she'd taken it over there were fiberoptics and computer tech all over. She hadn't even really done much.
The man wandering around and checking the tech seemed stressed out but focused. Working with her rather than waiting for her orders. Something she appreciated. She still wasn't comfortable being looked at as a god. More then anything, she preferred being looked at as someone there to help.
While he worked on the inside, she examined a tablet, looking over her documents to see what needed to be done. Between both her temples she was sure she could expedite things.
C.
(Open)
The housing thing is actually going pretty well, and Felicity is right there helping. It's something she feels strongly about, she doesn't want people just existing on the street like she did.

She doesn’t stop or let herself be dissuaded until they’ve reached a nice courtyard, with plenty of benches and restaurants opening onto a lovey fountain. On the ground in front of one of those benches is a blonde wrapped in a red blanket— no, that’s a cape. It’s Kara, looking for all the world like she’s only sleeping.
no subject
When they arrive at the destination, however, she understands. She knows enough about her Kara's biology to know that this whole lack of sunlight thing isn't good for her. Still, she hadn't realized that it would make her pass out.
Even though the woman won't talk to her, she still thanks her and manages to convey that she needs people to bring Kara back to the temple of technology, where she could create something to help. With the tech-priest, Devon's help, they manage to make something rather like a tanning bed, except using sunlamp technology.
All that was left now was to sit in a few of the swivel chairs and wait for Kara to wake up.
no subject
It takes a good hour or two for Kara to build up enough radiation to start to wake up, groaning miserably.
"What happened... where am I?" She sits up, trying to get her eyes to focus on something besides the bright light of the sunlamps. Everything looks sort of... green.
But before the details start to come into focus Kara's stomach grumbles. She presses a palm to it, half-hoping she can confuse her body into thinking it's full.
"Rao, I'm so hungry..."
no subject
"We lost daytime. So no red sun. Also, we've got sandwiches." She grabs the plate and brings it over to Kara.
"One of the locals found you and brought you here. Also, sorry about the whole flailing thing earlier."
no subject
She is very, very confused. But there are sandwiches, and while the contents are totally unfamiliar it smells like food. Rather than address any of the many strange things happening right now she digs in. She waits several bites to pause.
"You're... Felicity, right?"
no subject
"That's me. In charge of Industry and Technology - which might actually make me the reason people are ripping people off right now." As her voice trails off on that topic she adds "Should probably look into that actually."
Then she mentally turns back to the conversation previously in progress. "And you're Kara, but not, my Kara. A different Kara from a different Earth who only speaks Kryptonian. I think. I mean you could have just been messing with me, but I'm thinking it's more likely that someone is sitting on communications again."
no subject
She's trying to follow all of the threads of knowledge coming at her now that she can understand... everyone in the city. She decides to discard everything in favor of figuring out what Felicity is telling her now.
"A Kara from a different Earth? It sounds to me like you're speaking Kryptonian now, but Kal-El told me he and I are the only survivors, so that can't be possible."
no subject
Was this an admission of messing up an introduction? Perhaps. Perhaps not. He was getting there anyway.
"Uh, um...well..."
Okay, he definitely was starting to see the drawbacks of keeping himself to one identity. The mask was almost unbearable to wear during the heat wave that made up the brief summer the bay just experienced a short while ago. The fact that he keeps almost saying his real name when people introduce themselves and it's his turn to do the same.
no subject
"If it helps, I didn't think any of us are from the same Earth. Plus there's the possibility that we won't remember anything when we get back - if we get back." It's the best she can offer really. The chance that, even if he exposes himself, no one will remember it or care.
no subject
That isn't exactly the most comforting idea in the world either. He did find himself a little bit uncomfortable with the idea of forgetting. But, if she was right? It meant that there really wasn't anything to lose. It wasn't as if his friends or family from back home were also trapped here at therefore at risk.
"Okay... I'm going to try to take it off now. At least here. Just don't laugh, ok?"
He takes a breath and slowly takes off the mask, revealing a nervous looking teenager.
no subject
There's a beat before she adds;
"And I won't laugh. Just don't laugh when I inevitably put my foot in my mouth and say something horrible."
When he removes the mask, she doesn't laugh. What he reveals is pretty much what she expected. A kid. Probably one who's confused and new to this whole hero thing and worried about his family. Of course she's not going to laugh. She knows why every one of them wears a mask back home. To protect their friends and family.
Of course, almost all of Oliver's friends and family are part of the team ... or a team, who they're affiliated with and get together with at least once a year for ... Yeah, they really need to work on those reunions not turning into one huge fight with aliens, or alternate universe Nazis.
"So, am I still calling you Spiderman?" After all, that's the only name he gave anyone.
no subject
He takes a breath, "Now that whole "don't laugh" thing, I'm really holding you to it now... but, okay, here goes...
My name's Peter. Peter Parker."
Eventually, Peter then asks the question that had popped into his head upon hearing "sliders plan".
He tilts his head slightly, "Um, been wanting to ask you something for like the last minute, but what's that plan? I mean the Sliders one that you mentioned?"
no subject
Of course, then he brings up the thing about 'Sliders' and she has to wonder if the kid is old enough to even know what it is. It's like talking old school Doctor Who to anyone who didn't hunt it down to within an inch of its life.
"Sliders was this old show back in ... the eighties, I think. The whole thing was about a bunch of people sliding through a, mostly controlled wormhole and landing on different Earths. The joke was that we could have a multi-Earth party when we all get back. If we could."
no subject
To give an honest answer, if it's from the eighties and not available in some way that he can readily access and watch things? He's probably unaware of it or at least it's not going to sound familiar to him.
"That... that sounds really cool," Peter would chinhands if he felt that was an actual option for him, "The show. And if a party could happen. Hey, maybe that's a good way of looking at whatever this place is? I hope I remember the show name, at least. Like if deja vu is still a thing."

She holds up a finger, leaning back against one of the tables in the room. The look on her face seems a bit distracted; like she's trying to figure something out that she'd usually be playing off of others with her level of IQ and experience. To be fair though, she would be. There'd be Cisco, Caitlin, Ray, and Curtis. Even Doctor Stein would be there to help sort out this mess.
"I mean, I've no idea who these Avengers guys you were talking about are and they seemed big in your world. And I'm pretty sure you've never heard of The Flash or The Arrow. They're pretty big in mine."
Big was putting it kind of mildly. With Iris's blog out there and everything else that came with the whole meta thing in Central City, she was pretty sure Barry was a national phenomenon. Oliver? Less so. Not that Oliver wasn't as important as Barry, he just sat on a 'Legends' end of the spectrum. Important, but no one was going to know much about him outside certain circles.
"Also there's Steph. We share some place names, like, she's from Gotham, but her Gotham and mine are totally different. Like city took over by a supercomputer verse the only interesting thing there being the hot and eccentric billionaire playboy that lives there."
Her eyes flick up a second, almost remembering Peter there; even though she was actually still talking directly to him. "Not that I'm into hot and eccentric billionaire playboys. It's just one of the highlights of the city. That and crime. Lots and lots of film noir-type crime."
no subject
"Uh yeah, I have nooooooooo idea who any of those people are. Or Gotham besides the fact it's a place from how it's being described to me."
Peter might be turning a very slight shade of pink at that.
"I don't think my world has noir-type crime. But I've heard people describe Mr. Stark as an eccentric billionaire. And my aunt probably thinks he's a playboy for that matter. Maybe that's just a common type? But like I can vouch for Mr. Stark being a great guy. Just, um, way different. Larger than life? I don't know..."
no subject
"I'm pretty sure my friend Ray is the total opposite of a playboy." She looks up into the black, thinking again. "Kinda wish he were here actually. He'd love it. It's like a big weird riddle, you know?" She was also pretty sure Ray would make one hell of a god. He was literally the nicest guy she knew.
"Or Barry and Cisco. Not billionaires, but super smart. Like, way better then MENSA smart - not that MENSA is a good judge of intelligence." She's rambling again, but she does that.
